Introducing the TC8714-2 4W E&M Analog & Dry Contact Channel Bank

The TC8714-2 4W E&M Analog & Dry Contact Channel Bank is the newest addition to our Mini Channel Bank product family.

The TC8714-2 is a T1/E1-based solution designed to replace obsolete channel banks or to fit seamlessly into new applications.

Whereas our JumboSwitch® and JumboBank™ products can connect devices over up to 24 channels of two-wire or four-wire E&M using multiple cards, the TC8714-2 is a low-density single-card option. These cards are typically deployed in remote locations and are wall- or rack-mountable.

The TC8714-2 uses simple DIP switches to allow switching between any two DS0 slots within the T1. As with all TC Communications products, TC8714-2 units are simple to set up, and fault-finding is easy with our "troubleshooting-at-a-glance" LEDs on the front panel.

The diagram below illustrates how a single TC8714-2 card can be used to connect a radio receiver to a T1 line using slots DS0-21 and DS0-22:
