New T1/E1 Redundancy Controller

TC Communications is announcing our newest product, the TC8611 T1/E1 Redundancy Controller. The TC8611 joins our Mini Channel Bank product family and is designed to provide redundancy for T1/E1 links.

As shown in the diagram, the two TC8611 units are connected by two T1 lines—one designated as the primary line, the other as the secondary line. In the event of a failure or interruption of the primary T1 line, the TC8611 will automatically route traffic to the secondary T1 instead. Traffic will remain on the secondary line until the primary line has regained correct operation for a programmable set period of time (usually five seconds).

As with all Mini Channel Bank products, the TC8611 comes with a five-year warranty and an extreme temperature (-40°C to +80°C) option. It also comes equipped with an exclusive Mini Channel Bank feature, the R2 button, which users can press to reset corresponding Alarm and Remote LEDS, making it easier to isolate and diagnose problems occurring on T1 lines.
