Teleprotection over IP
Addressing Latency Concerns: TC's latency demonstration showed delays less than 5msec (end-to-end) between 2 relays in a layer 2 Ethernet network.
TDM vs. Packet networks: Using water flow and buckets, TC's "Pal" animation demonstrated how adaptive relay clock with Phase Lock Loop help maintain consistent data flow between two locations. -
Leased Line Replacement
The Radio over IP (RoIP) station demonstrated voting over IP using Raytheon's SNV-12 voter in conjunction with TC's popular 600 Ohm Analog-over-IP (TC3846-6) card. Analog radio over IP solutions are increasing in demand as fees for leased lines increase and the lines are slowly eliminated. -
New Product 10G
TC's 10G Carrier Ethernet 2.0 Compliant JumboSwitch® made another appearance at UTC 2015, featuring 4 Ports of 1G SFPs, 4 Ports of 10/100/1000, and 4 Ports of 10G SFP+... and still more to come.
