Features
The TCRMPS3 power supply cards are dual load-sharing and automatically switch over in the event of a power failure. A single card is sufficient to fully power the chassis.
The AC or DC power supply cards for the 4U chassis are hot-swappable and located on opposite ends of the chassis. Power supply cards are dual load-sharing and automatically switch over in the event of a power failure. A single card is sufficient to fully power the chassis.
The AC power supply automatically adjusts for 90 to 264 VAC input and 47 to 63 Hz operation. The DC power supplies accept 12VDC, 24VDC, -48VDC or 125VDC input. AC and DC power supplies can be mixed in the same unit. Power options include:
- 12VDC, 24VDC, -48VDC and 125VDC
- 115VAC, 230VAC and 240VAC (50-60Hz)
Through the TC3840 Management card, the power supply can be remotely managed via Web, SNMP, Serial Console or Telnet. Power supply cycling and monitoring ON/OFF status can be done remotely. More extensive management and control operations can be done through the Network Management System, TCView. With TCView, users can monitor voltage, temperature and set alarm thresholds.
Each card has its own power controller, 2 fuses and can be powered from the wall, UPS or generator. DC power supply cards have a front side replaceable fuse. Power supply cards do not require fans and comply with all popular industry and environmental standards including IEC 61850-3.
To take full advantage of the redundant power supplies, it is recommended that each module be plugged into separate power circuit.
