IRVINE, CA ----A new Asynchronous-to-Ethernet Converter from TC Communications converts RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 (2- or 4-wire) asynchronous data to packets for point-to-point transmission over an Ethernet Network. List price is $485.00.

The Model TC3400 is ideal for connecting surveillance cameras with RS-232 interfaces over Ethernet. It is also frequently used in Utility, SCADA, Traffic Control and Process Control LANs to link RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to a Host CPU.

Compatible with all popular Ethernet Switches, the TC3400 supports data rates up to 38.4 Kbps. A Web-based user interface (i.e. browser) is provided to view or change network settings.

It supports full handshaking RS-232 interfaces (DCD, RTS, CTS, DTR and DSR). Nine LEDs are provided on the front panel for all five control signals and Sync, Activity, Power and Link.
