| Overview
TC's line of fiber optic multiplexers is designed for simplicity
and economy. Ten models are currently offered: two for multiplexing
various combinations of Ethernet, T1/E1, Telephone & Serial
Data; five for general purpose data applications; a wave division
multiplexer and two data, audio/analog and telephone multiplexers.
Four Ethernet multiplexers combine to provide an integrated
LAN, Telephone, T1/E1 & Serial Data connectivity solution.
The TC8510 multiplexes one-to-four T1/E1 channels, a 10/100M
Ethernet & 4 Serial Data channels over single mode or
multimode fiber. The TC8518 multiplexes 8-24 channels of
T1/E1 and three 10/100M (combined bandwidth of 100M) Ethernet.
It offers several important features including Web
Management and Ethernet Rate Limiting. The TC8520 multiplexes one 10/100M Ethernet,
four telephones, and, optionally, four channels of serial
data. The TC8530 multiplexes 1-12 channels of
RS-232/422, TTl and one 10/100M Ethernet.
The TC8800 is 2-28 Channel Telephone/Data Multiplexer typically
used to link or extend data and telephone lines in campus
networks. In many instances the TC8800 can replace expensive
channel banks.
The TC8116
offers maximum versatility and a variety of interchangeable
interfaces. The TC8108 is ideal for applications requiring up
to 128 Async channels. The TC8104 is a chassis with hot
swappable cards.
The 8-channel
"Micro" multiplexer, Model TC1880, is TC's lowest
priced multiplexer. Though small in size, the Micro Mux offers
the power and flexibility of much larger muxes--- at a
fraction of the cost. It can multiplex both sync. and Async.
data simultaneously.
Intended for
high capacity T1/E1 applications, the TC8518
multiplexes 8, 16, 20, or 24 T1 channels or 8, 16 or
20* E1 channels and an optional 3-port Ethernet switch
(combined bandwidth of 100Mbps).
The TC8300 can be configured for one to
four channels of T1 or E1. This enables a low entry cost while maintaining
the ability to add channels in the future. Optical or power
redundancy is optional. It also offers up to eight optional
out-of-band RS-232 channels.
For
Audio/Intercom applications, the TC8000 multiplexes 24
channels of intercom quality analog audio over single mode or
multimode fiber optic cable.
The "Channel
Surfer", Model TC4001, is a two channel wave division
multiplexer. It transmits 1310nm and 1550nm wavelengths simultaneously.
Certain fiber
optic multiplexers offer distances to more than 100km,
Distances can vary depending on the size and type of fiber
optic cable, number of connectors and type of hardware
connectivity devices used in a given network. Several models
provide a Test Signal Generator to verify both device and
fiber optic link operation.
