T1/E1 & 10/100 Ethernet Fiber Optic Multiplexer (4-24 Ch.)
The TC8518 T1/E1 & Ethernet Fiber Optic Multiplexer is a fully managed point-to-point solution for multiplexing 4 to 24 T1/E1 lines and 3 x 10/100 Ethernet ports over single mode (1300/1550nm) or multimode (1300nm) fiber optic cable.
Each T1 or E1 channel is independent, transparent to the framing format & supports all applicable standards & line codes. Ethernet ports support non-blocking full 100Mbps bandwidth. Key features include VLAN, Statistics Monitoring, Remote Firmware Upgrades, Network Time Server, Temperature Monitoring & Ethernet Rate Limiting.
Typical applications include extending T1/E1 signals from Cell Towers to Central Offices & adding Ethernet service to existing T1 or E1 fiber optic links. Service Providers use the TC8518 to provide their customers with Ethernet connections for data & T1/E1 for voice.
The optical front end is standard SONET OC-3. The TC8518 can be linked together via existing OC-3 network.

Applications
Typical applications include connecting T1/E1 signals from Cell Towers to Central Offices, multiplexing T1/E1 links between PBX’s, and adding Ethernet service to existing T1 or E1 fiber optic links.
Service Providers use the TC8518 as an efficient, cost effective method to provide their customers with Ethernet (100Mbps Total Bandwidth) for data and T1/E1 for voice.
The one fiber bi-directional optic option can double the utilization of existing fiber optic cable.
